Roots Deep on Earth
The last quarter of the 1900’s was the period when services and products related to the circulation of goods were reshaped. Germany, which had entered into a rapid recovery process after the destruction of World War II and taken a leading role in many issues, started to invest in the exhibition sector in order to strengthen trade as well as industry. On April 1, 1964, Messe Munchen is founded, establishing the basis for a professional trade-fair industry in Munich. Its shareholders were the City of Munich, the State of Bavaria, the Chamber of Industry and Trade of Munich and Upper Bavaria and the Chamber of Trade and Crafts. In 1978, the company launched the transport logistic exhibition, which covered transportation and logistics industries.
At another strategic point of the World, in Turkey, a team that witnessed many changes in the transport and logistics business since the 80s, rolled up their sleeves to earn a special meeting point to the sector while maintaining their impact on and contribution in defining the differentiating concepts in the industry as publishers.
Eko Fair Co. was established in 2003 with the aim of creating a trade fair that would reveal the potential of Turkey's transportation and logistics abilities and carry it to an international level. It was not easy to convince the transporters about the importance and necessity of an exhibition at the times when logistics meant only road transportation and intralogistics was nothing more than warehousing. But logitrans brand continued its way of success by improving each and every year. The fair was awarded the “international” title in 2014 thanks to the number of foreign exhibitors and visitors it attracted.

In the same period, logitrans, having settled its position in the national market, set off to strengthen its ‘international’ title with more international exhibitors and visitors, as well as to advance with a deep-rooted fair organization experience and knowledge.
The enthusiastic teams of the two companies started negotiations for the first time in 2009 during transport logistic exhibition in Munich. In March 2010, they took the first concrete step with the Letter of Intent signed at the German Consulate General in Istanbul.
